Stockholm Wildlife Safari
Activity Details
We will meet at Tideliusgatan at the scheduled time. Once everyone is gathered, we’ll board a minibus and head out in search of the fauna inhabiting the Stockholm forests. Animal lovers, get ready to enjoy!
We'll hike through forests and fields, learning how to read tracks in the snow before traveling by vehicle to areas with high activity. We will use a powerful flashlight to illuminate the darkness and attempt to spot animals that emerge under the cover of night.
During the tour, we may encounter deer or moose, the most iconic animals in Sweden. With some luck, we might also spot an elusive beaver. In the meadows, we are likely to see herds of roe deer grazing, along with some fallow deer. Additionally, as we move along the trails, we will discuss interesting facts about ravens, hares, wood grouse, anthills, great grey owls, and wild boars, among others.
After enjoying the safari through the Stockholm forests, we will sit around a campfire to recharge with a snack, which will vary depending on the season.
Finally, we will return to the starting point after five hours of exploration.
Animal Watching
Animals are fairly unpredictable creatures, so we can't promise a sighting. The guide will do everything possible to spot them, but we cannot guarantee that all animals will be seen, as we will not feed them to lure them in any way.
